At Operation Rescue Ethiopia, we are deeply committed to breaking down the structural barriers that hinder young girls from reaching their full potential. As part of our ongoing health and dignity initiatives, sanitary pads were recently provided to our girls aged 12 and older. Access to safe, reliable menstrual hygiene products is a fundamental necessity that directly impacts a young woman's confidence, health, and academic continuity.
Without basic hygiene supplies, many young girls are forced to miss critical school days or step away from community activities every month putting them at a severe disadvantage and increasing school dropout rates. By providing these essential supplies, we ensure that no girl has to sacrifice her education or compromise her dignity due to period poverty. Investing in young women means investing in the future of our entire community; simple yet impactful interventions like this remove preventable obstacles and pave the way for equal opportunity, leadership, and success
